Krushna Abhishek Confirms His RETURN On The Kapil Sharma Show; Comedian Says, ‘Not A Change Of Heart, But A Change Of Contract!’
Krushna Abhishek opens up about his return to The Kapil Sharma Show and how his co-stars reacted to the news
Over the past few weeks, Krushna Abhishek’s possible return to The Kapil Sharma Show had become one of the most discussed topics online. Fans were eagerly waiting for the makers and the comedians to comment on the same. It seems like they can finally rejoice as Krushna in a recent interview confirmed the news himself. It had been reported earlier that they were facing negotiation and monetary issues.
Now, in an interaction with ETimes, the actor expressed his happiness at returning to the show. Not only did he shed the light on the contract issues he was facing with the makers, but also relieved that his beloved character Sapna will be back with a bang. He also shared how his co-stars Kapil, Kiku Sharda and Archana Puran Singh reacted when he entered the set of the comedy chat show. Talking about the contract, he told the media publication, “It’s not a change of heart but a change of contract (laughs!). The contract had several concerns, including money, but all issues have been resolved. The show and the channel are like family, and I am glad to be back.”
The 39-year-old comedian went on to share that his beloved character Sapna will be having a “badhiya entry” on the show. Comparing his return to the show to an old Hindi proverb, he said, “Ghar ka bhoola shaam ko ghar par laut kar aye toh usko bhoola nahi kehte. Ye wohi wala hisaab hai.” Krushna went on to share that he received a warm welcome when he entered the set on Monday. He recalled how Kiku welcomed him with a warm hug and Archana called him up to express her excitement on his return. Krushna revealed that even Kapil greeted him warmly and suggested a few jokes that the comedian wanted Sapna to have since she is back. He added, “As I said in my previous interview, there is no rivalry or one-upmanship, and we sit together to work on our script, we are doing the same even now.”
